How To Use Studio Walk The Line

Reservation

First, please make reservation by e-mailing us. Availability is usually limited. Please make sure you make reservation at least 1 month and a half beforehand. Usually we accept reservation of the sessions about 1 month and a half ahead and later. In case you are in a hurry for recording or mixing, please consult us. Anyway we get back to you by phone or by e-mail.

For services other than recording or mixing, also please give us an e-mail.

Upon reservation, please describe your project in brief. Then if we think your project fits our policies, we will invite you to the studio for a tour, asking for your brief demo CD or tape or mps3 etc. Please prepare your demo recordings. Any kind of recording is okay for the demo, as long as we can listen to the music.

At this stage we would finalize our decision of whether we accept the project or not. We may sometimes refuse to take up your project regardless of availability. If this happens, it's usually simply because your project is not our kind of project.

For reservation, please go to "Reservation" page.

Planning

Once we both agreed we do the project in the studio after the studio tour, for each and every project we undertake, we will have a planning of the whole session including figuring out approximate studio hours, instruments to use, musicians to use, etc adjusting the session to your budget. For these planning/discussion hours before the actual services, we don't charge you anything (Although there are studios out there that charge you for this kind of talk session, we don't.). We have this preparation planning to make the projects succeed and to make you happy with the service you are paying for.

Studio Work

Following the planning, we proceed with the studio work.

Studio operation is limited to the engineer. All you do is perform your music, make musical decisions, and importantly give a picture of what you want your music sound. Engineer is not a producer. Engineer may help you make a decision by offering opinions, but won't make no decisions on what take goes to mix etc. Except that you use Producer Package, we may advise but don't do the works producers are supposed to do. Not to mention, we won't push you any, either. So please give us the directions of what you want as a guideline.

First and foremost, the main job of the engineer is to make your music sound great.

Payment

We accept payment in cash only.

For studio recording/mixing work:

Payment can be done by up to 3-time payments. You can choose one from the options below.

However, if it's one-day session, you must pay By 1-day session payment. If it's two-day session, you only can choose among By 1-day session payment, By 1-time payment and By 2 payments.

Limitation Of Bringing In Musical Instruments & Equipments & Others

Although we would like you to choose instruments of your choice when you play, by the physical, architectural limits of our studio, we have to limit the user's take-in instruments and gears. Below is the partial chart of the limitations. Basically you can use your instruments in the studio except the items listed below. However, you always have to tell us what you desire to bring in before the sessions and you have to get an approval before you bring them in. Even when you are bringing in your gears allowed in the chart below, you have to report us of it and get an approval from us well beforehand. You cannot bring in any of your equipments or instruments on the spot.

The important thing is, you always have to tell us what you want to bring in beforehand. You never can bring in any of your gears without our permission.
